With a total length of 18 miles and 135 miles of shoreline, it is one of the largest lakes in this area. Lake Palestine has several sponsored annual fishing tournaments such as largemouth bass and crappie bringing in anglers from around the country. Channel catfish, blue catfish, and flathead catfish are popular for the lake and provide another fishing opportunity for the area fishing enthusiasts as well.
The Villages Resort, located on the north side of Lake Palestine, offers a one-of-a-kind setting for recreational and fishing interests complete with its own indoor water park, marina, boat and barge rentals.
Pine Cove Christian Camps is located on the north side of Lake Palestine in Flint, TX and hosts a full summer of fun-filled experiences for campers of all ages. An estimated 20,000 children, youth and families attend sessions at one of the five Christian Youth Camps or three Christian Family Camps each summer. In addition, Pine Cove also offers seasonal family oriented weekend retreats for family and faith building experiences.
